Summer 2015 Outfit 1

This was the start of the summer capsule!  I finally got past my "meh" feelings and figured out what was bugging me.  It was a three part problem:
  1. I have so much good stuff for summer, but not all of it fits the best
  2. I love dresses, but I feel like they are hard to have in a capsule
  3. I no longer want to buy cheap clothes, but I also still want a great deal
I got around all of these by stocking my work wardrobe with several dresses and an extra pair of pants, so I have some variety in my work wardrobe.  I added in a couple of more casual dresses, but kept in some shorts and capris, just in case.  I am betting on the fact that we'll have a really warm summer, so I have mostly tank tops in my casual wardrobe.  I was super picky in what I bought this time (only 4 items!) and rejected so much that I would have settled for before, but I also spent under $100.  It is a total mishmash, but I think it will work.

And did I mention color?  There is SO MUCH COLOR in this capsule. I love it.

Summer 2015 Capsule

I have one word to describe my capsule.  Color.

(Yes, that's just a tease.)

Honestly, I just don't know if I want to keep up with the blog.  I started it because I was afraid that if I wasn't accountable, I would slip into my old habits.  Now that I have fallen completely in love with the capsule concept, I don't need that accountability.

I am no fashion expert, so I don't know what my blog really offers.

But the pictures are taken, so maybe I should post those.

Summer Capsule Thoughts

I am in the midst of planning the summer capsule and I have to admit, I am really struggling with this one.

For some reason, I just don't want to spend any money.  I am not sure if it is because I love my summer clothes or I just don't see the need to spend money on clothes I wear for 3 months of the year.  Maybe it is because we have NO clue what this summer will be like.  If the spring is any indication, it will be a hot one, but who knows around here, it could turn into a crappy summer at the drop of a hat.  Maybe it is a combination of all of the above.

I think part of the struggle is that I love dresses in the summer.  It is just so easy.  But, I don't have enough dresses to get me to a full wardrobe.  And well, I don't want to buy any more if I am not going to wear them a lot.  Plus, I do want to have the option to wear shorts and capris, and I need at least 1 pair of jeans.  I think I just don't know what my summer style is.

So, for the first time, I am taking some advice that my friend A gave me and I am not assuming that anything is staying. I am trying it all on and deciding if it really works for the summer. It is a much slower process this time.
